Lager, the Most Popular Style in America

There has always been a lot of discussion around the subject of what exactly is a lager beer. Since beers are generally divided into two main groups you can usually say that a lager is not an ale, the

This was a highlight of our trip! Tim is extremely knowledgeable and will cater his picks and information to whatever the group is interested in. By the end of the tour, all of our personal beer preferences had been explained. Highly recommended, especially if you don't want to navigate the micro-brewery scene on your own.ls.
New York
I went as a group of four and we all had a good time. We were able to taste a wide variety of beers. A couple of my friends that stick to one or two types of beers found some news one that they liked..
Corpus Christi, Texas
Tim is an awesome host. He is a great guy with a lot of knowledge of beer and its history. You will have a great time getting to know Ballard's brewing history as well as Tim's own history. 100% recommended!.
Mexico City, Mexico
Tim was so much fun - knowledgeable, funny, creative, easy going and super organized and focused on our interests and having a marvelous time. Was such a blast.
Calgary, Canada
We had a great time on Tim's brewery tour! We tasted a great variety of delicious beers and Tim was a wonderful guide. He knows just about everything about beer, so not only was this a fun activity, but it was also surprisingly educational. I highly recommend doing one of Tim's tours next time you're in Seattle!
Boston, Massachusetts
Our tour with Timothy was a lot of fun! He's a very friendly and fun person and knows a lot about beer. We got to taste 12 different beers and met a few of the locals, even a brewer and a pub owner. Felt like a walk around the neighborhood! We learned a lot while having fun. I highly recommend this tour!
Munich, Germany
If you’re a local looking for something new and fun to do or you have family visiting from out of town, I would highly recommend any of the Seattle Brewery Walking tours! Tim is so knowledgeable about beer and also about Ballard’s history. I’m not a beer drinker, but I found several beers I enjoyed on our tour and my knowledge of beer grew so much thanks to Tim! We will definitely be back to experience a different tour soon!
Seattle, Washington
Tim Lorang was a great host! He provided knowledge of the local beers and the history of types of beers while keeping a relaxed environment. We had a party of 7 and a party of 5 together and he was able to keep both parties up to date on the "beer talk" in a loud environment. He made sure we had enough water and beer the entire time. I would recommend the beer tour
Ellensburg, Washington
Wow...just wow! Tim is one amazing man. His knowledge of beer and the history is spectacular . His personality is wonderful. 15 minutes in I felt I had a new friend. I would recommend this tour to to everyone. I did as an individual and very much enjoyed the experience.
Dallas, Texas
The experience was top notch from beginning to end! Tim was kind enough to accommodate my tight schedule as I was in town from Detroit. He opened up a Fisherman’s Terminal Tour spot on Monday for my girlfriend and I and we had our own private tour! I’m a big craft beer guy and I loved all the history and education that Tim provided us with. I would definitely recommend this tour for anybody that enjoys beer! Thanks Tim! Sara says Hi!
Detroit, Michigan
Tim was SO much fun; he is a great tour guide and provided a lot of beer resources. Yes, you can visit these breweries on your own, but Tim has great relationships with the people and got us extra tasters and interesting chat about the breweries and beers. The breweries themselves are excellent and all within a short walk of each other. They all brew very different styles and there is something for everyone on this tour. We highly recommend the tour; you don't need a bus!
